Where Have I Been?

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry I have not posted in a long time. So.....where have I been? I have been ill and when I began to feel better I had another personal crisis to deal with. I am struggling a lot. It's an inner struggle that I have to overcome. The current circumstances I am in have caused me to lose myself and with that, my love for Filofaxes and crafts. For this I apologize. I will return to blogging and crafting soon.  Be blessed.

How Many Filofaxes are Too Many?

Despite the fact that this title may be grammatically incorrect, it is a question I ask myself every time I open a new or slightly used Filofax box.  Many people say we are obsessed. Some have even gone as far as saying we are greedy and waste money. I say, a girl or guy, could never have too many......Filofaxes.

Like most women who like to change their bags and shoes to suit their style, I like to change my agenda/planner to suit the season or my mood.  Sometimes I wear high heels and sometimes I use my Chameleon Filofax.  Sometimes I wear flip flops and sometimes I use my Kate Spade agenda or my new Maldens.  An agenda/planner is an accessory that makes you look good like your clothes or shoes but, unlike your clothes and shoes, helps you organize your everyday to dos, appointments, etc....

So, to answer the question, "how many Filofaxes are too many?" I say not enough!

Have fun organizing and planning my fellow planners.  Do what makes you happy and productive!

Making Crafts That Will Sell

Did you get into crafting and card making or even scrapbooking because you loved being creative? For me crafting was a creative outlet but it was more of a de-stresser, if that's even a word. I relaxed with crafts but I soon realized I could probably make others happy with my creations and even make a little money too. So there I was cranking out scrapbook pages and cards and other crafty items only to have a few people interested.  So, here's a tip to sell your goods. Go with what's popular with kids at the moment. For example, when Yo Gabba Gabba was a huge thing with the kiddies, my sister in law commissioned goodie bags from with the characters faces. She could have ordered them but she wanted the bags to be bigger than standard goody bags and wanted them to be unique. I quickly purchased lunch bags In the character colors and began crafting their faces with paper piecing.  The bags were the hit of the party. So, after that long winded testament, here is a pic of my newest endeavor- Minion birthday cards and the Yo Gabba Gabba goody bags too!! These are very popular. Make what's popular and you can do well with your crafting business.  Stay tuned for a tutorial on the minion cards on my Youtube channel soon!
