Making Crafts That Will Sell

Did you get into crafting and card making or even scrapbooking because you loved being creative? For me crafting was a creative outlet but it was more of a de-stresser, if that's even a word. I relaxed with crafts but I soon realized I could probably make others happy with my creations and even make a little money too. So there I was cranking out scrapbook pages and cards and other crafty items only to have a few people interested.  So, here's a tip to sell your goods. Go with what's popular with kids at the moment. For example, when Yo Gabba Gabba was a huge thing with the kiddies, my sister in law commissioned goodie bags from with the characters faces. She could have ordered them but she wanted the bags to be bigger than standard goody bags and wanted them to be unique. I quickly purchased lunch bags In the character colors and began crafting their faces with paper piecing.  The bags were the hit of the party. So, after that long winded testament, here is a pic of my newest endeavor- Minion birthday cards and the Yo Gabba Gabba goody bags too!! These are very popular. Make what's popular and you can do well with your crafting business.  Stay tuned for a tutorial on the minion cards on my Youtube channel soon!

Nuts About You Card

Hey, everyone! This is Stampingsongbird! I received tons of wonderful craft items and Filofax goodies from a youtube friend. I traded my Chameleon Filofax for surprise craft goodies. She went crazy filling a big box full of wonderful things from rubber stamps to embellishments and post it notes! Here's a simple card  I made with one of the stamps she sent me! Yippee!

My New Love

Meet my new love- the Kate Spade personal size zip around planner! I am in love, love, love!!!!!!! This binder is advertised as purple but is more magenta than purple. I love the color and the gold colored rings. I have moved out of my orange Osterley....for now that is.  I am using Flavia portable size inserts from Day Timer ONLY because I was dissatisfied with what I was doing with my Filofax pages but that might be temporary too.  I LOVE FILOFAX but most of all I LOVE agendas and planners of all kinds.
What's your favorite planning tool/ planner? Please share.

Where would I be without my Filofax?

Where would I be without my Filofax?  Before planning in agendas I planned in notebooks, post-it notes, scrap paper, anything I could write on.  Even in this day and age where you can store your entire life on a flash drive or your phone or tablet, I NEED to use paper and pencil.....or in my case paper and Frixion pens, LOL,!
My planner organizes me, grounds me, and guides me.  If its in my planner it will get done, or moved  to another day to get done.  Without my planner I would miss appointments for the dentist, doctor, physical therapy, important work deadlines and fun days with friends and family.  I write my grocery list, delivery dates, bill due dates, books to be read, youtube videos I want to make or watch and now.......the blogs I would like to write.  My planner is my everything, including my best accessory.  I switch my binder based on the season, or my bag, or my mood.  Whether it's my Chameleon, Osterley or Finsbury, I am ready to conquer my day!  I swear if my planner had a built in GPS I would be set!
Where would you be without your Filofax/planner?
